Practical support should be usable by the people who need it. We aim to make the Lab clear, readable and accessible, using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) as a guide for ongoing improvements.
How the site is designed
The site uses responsive layouts, structured headings, descriptive links, keyboard navigation, visible focus indicators and text alternatives for meaningful images. The free tools have labelled fields and text downloads that can be opened in common text editors.
Current limits
This is an early website. Desktop and narrow-screen checks help us identify problems, but they are not a complete accessibility audit or a claim of WCAG conformance. Compatibility across all browsers and assistive technologies has not been established. Linked third-party websites may have different accessibility features.
Tell us what would help
If you encounter a barrier or need information in another format, email Matthew Dunlop. Include the page address, the task you were trying to complete and the format or assistance that would work for you. Sharing your browser or assistive technology is optional; you do not need to disclose a diagnosis.
Matthew will work with you to identify a useful way to access the information and use the feedback to improve the site. You can also report a problem without requesting an alternate format.
